In the 1980s, Japanese companies like Tokai and Fujigen were making copies of American guitars that were giving the originals a run for their money. This Breezy Sound black guard telecaster is one such example. This particular guitar has been played hard and certainly has the patina to match. It is everything you would want from a great telecaster at a great price- a twangy bridge pick up paired with a nice warm neck pick up, and a nicely played in comfortable neck. We had it set up and it plays perfectly without buzzing, the frets are in good shape with only light wear in the first position. It even comes in the original gig bag which is still in great shape. Players are starting to appreciate the quality of these 80’s Tokais and they are becoming classics in their own right.
