This Martin 0-18 from 1950 may just be the best sounding small body guitar we've had in the shop. It has clearly been played hard in its life but every part is original and it has had top notch repair work by Brothers Music including a neck reset, fretjob, and crack repairs. It has the best of both worlds, the tone and feel of a vintage instrument with the playability of a modern instrument. The neck profile can be described as a medium C with heavily rolled fingerboard edges. The finish on the back of the neck has been completely worn off from years of play, revealing the smooth mahogany underneath. The tone is what you would expect from an instrument that has had decades of play, very woody, dry, and smooth without any hint of brittleness in the trebles. The bass is much more prominent than on typical guitars of this size and the midrange is open with no boxiness. It sounds more like a 000 than a 0. Comes complete with a modern hard shell case. Pick it up before we change our minds and keep it for ourselves!
