This is the one folks. It may just be one of the best sounding and playing electric guitars to come through the shop. It has obviously been gigged hard but there has been no structural damage which is almost unheard of for an early SG (Les Paul). No headstock break, no heel break, no input jack damage. Just honest play wear from decades of touring. The wear pattern on the top tells the story of how it was played- the exposed wood on the bass side of the bridge is from palm muting and the long wear by the knobs is from volume swells.

Philadelphia fretworks gave it a full refret, setup, and cleaning so it is all ready to go. The truss rod works perfectly, in fact it looked like it hadn't been touched since it came out of the factory! Neck is straight with no warping. The pots are newer and have a longer taper so it is more usable for a gigging player. The tuners are original with replacement buttons. It came to us with a cheap imported bridge so the shop set it up with an aged Mojoaxe bridge and bridge posts. The original pickguard is chipping in a few spots but is stable. I decided to keep it as is because it's part of its history, a replacement aged Mojoaxe pickguard will also be included with the sale if you want to use that instead.

Not much else to say here, just an amazing piece of Gibson and rock n' roll history. Buy it before I change my mind and keep it.
