Burns can be thought of as a British counterpart to Fender. They came out with a line of high quality and innovative instruments in the early 60's that were handcrafted in London. This bass features a short 30 inch scale equipped with powerful Tri-Sonic pickups that are wired to a rotary switch. You get a surprising variety of tones including the cheeky, out of phase "Wild Dog" setting. It is also very light and handy, weighing in at only 7.3 pounds. The bridge was installed in the wrong place from the factory so we had Braxton and Hyde guitars, our neighbor downstairs, reinstall it in the correct position and fashion a new nut. The result is a perhaps the best playing Baldwin bass you will find! A great deal on a 60's hidden gem.
