I'm very jealous of this 00-18's life, it's spent most of its time in hanging out in Hawaii since 1948! Judging from the dark tanned top, it was likely often played out in the sun. It came from the owner there and it also has the decal of "The Oldest Music House in Hawaii", Bergstrom, on the back of the headstock. I love chunky necks and these wartime/ early post-war Martins are some of my favorites. The tone is clear and woody, exactly what you would expect from a guitar that has been loving played and cared for. All necessary repairs have been done and it's ready for a new life on the mainland.
