Stringphonic Guitars is a company based in Osaka, Japan designing and building guitars that could have conceivably been made in the 1920's and 30's. The "Lang" model an early Gibson L-4 reimagined as a beautiful 14 fret flat top acoustic. The build quality and materials used are top quality. It features an Adirondack spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The color and shading of the sunburst is faithful to Gibson's style during the mid 1920's. The finish is a very thinly applied lacquer. The pickguard shape is an original design and blends in seamlessly with the surrounding appointments. This example also has an LR Baggs IBeam active pickup so it is ready to be gigged. There are a few small marks on the top but overall it is still in very good condition. The 16" body combined with the light build and thin finish give it a very open, responsive, and warm tone. The neck profile is a comfortable medium C shape with soft rounded over edges. It comes in a new Hosco hard foam case. Overall this is a fantastic value for a beautiful and unique instrument.
