This is a clean, all original early '65 SG jr with all the most desirable features including a wide nut, chunky neck profile, and nickel hardware. This was just before the transition to the narrow neck and chrome hardware that is most often associated with mid 60's Gibsons. The single bridge p-90 pickup is amazingly versatile. It is ideal for playing lead but with the tone knob rolled back, it also works great for rhythm. Apart from some light play wear, finish checking, and pickguard shrinkage, it is in very clean shape. No breaks or repairs anywhere. Frets have practically no wear, the neck is dead straight, truss rod works well and has plenty of room for adjustment. It is very lightweight even for a SG. It also comes with the original soft shell case. Overall this is a great example of what many consider the most desirable version of the early SG.
