This is a very clean, all original example of an early production Danelectro DC-1 "Shorthorn" complete with the rare hardshell case! The shorthorn was introduced in 1959 to replace the single cutaway U models and were in production until the company closed in 1969. Jimmy Page famously played the two pickup version of this guitar. The frets have hardly any wear and plays perfectly up the neck with low action. The single lipstick pickup with the hollow masonite and poplar body give a classic rock tone with the responsiveness of a chambered body. It is a great sounding and playing example, all setup and ready to go.
