The early Guild instruments made in Hoboken, NJ and Westerly, RI are among the most underrated and undervalued instruments on the vintage market today. The build quality is just as good as the larger brands at a fraction of the price. The Starfire II is a fully hollowbody electric guitar with two humbucking pickups. The pickups are clean and bright sounding compared to Gibsons from the same period which tend to have more emphasis on the midrange. This example is in a rare emerald green finish, the most commonly seen finishes were red and sunburst. It is in very clean, original condition save for the missing pickguard. The neck angle and setup are perfect. The frets have been leveled so it plays perfectly up the neck. It even comes in the original hardshell case. Overall this is a very versatile vintage guitar you can use on any gig and a great piece of Guild history.
