Here is an all original 1965 Fender Musicmaster with pre-CBS specs! “8 DEC 64 A” Neck stamp, L neck plate, and original Olympic white slab body. The pickup is dated January 17th 1965. These single pickup guitars were originally marketed as student guitars but they are remarkably versatile and dynamic. Playing near the bridge gives you a bright tone, close to what you might get with a bridge or mid position pickup. Playing over the neck gives a warm jazzy tone.
