This is one of the nicest examples of a Epiphone Olympic we have come across. It has all the same specifications as the one played by David Rawlings. It even comes with the original hard shell case! This is very rare and unusual because the Olympic was the least expensive model in the Epiphone lineup at the time at $35, and this plush lined Chicago made Geib case would have cost $20. Most would have opted for the more affordable chip board case. The sound is exactly what you would want from a small body Epiphone; very punchy, mid range forward, and dry fundamental tone. It is setup with low action and plays perfectly up the neck with no buzzing. It does not need a neck reset and still has room at the bridge for adjustment. There are no cracks or repairs anywhere. All the hardware is original. Another very cool feature which isn't often seen on this model is the subtle dark pearloid headstock overlay. If you're looking to own a piece of Epiphone history and replicate Rawlings' iconic tone, it doesn't get much better than this.
