It doesn't get any more classic than a Martin D-28. This example is from 1966 and features a beautifully figured set of Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a sitka spruce top. The 60's style straight bracing gives it a more defined, mid range forward tone while the Brazilian rosewood adds harmonic overtones and sustain. It works great for any style of playing but really excels for strumming.

It's just had a neck reset and refret so the playability is excellent. The bridge is a correctly sized replacement with an earlier style cut through saddle slot. This guitar was previously owned by a touring musicians so there is also an LR Baggs pickup installed and it is ready to be gigged. There are a couple of minor well repaired cracks- two on the top (center seam and upper bout) and one on the back. The neck profile is a very comfortable soft V profile, a bit chunkier than your typical mid 60's Martin neck. Overall it is a great sounding example of an all time classic Martin model with a tone that can be used in nearly any context.
