This is a classic Martin D-28 from one of the best years of the post war era. It features an Adirondack spruce top with Brazilian rosewood back and sides- the most desirable wood combination for an acoustic. Paired with the straight bracing, it has an immense amount of power and projection. It's the perfect all around guitar, it has a warm rounded tone with just the right amount of note separation to make it ideal for both strumming and flat picking. The Brazilian rosewood adds some harmonics to give it a fuller sound when compared to a D-18 with mahogany back and sides. The neck is a very comfortable, medium soft V profile with rolled fingerboard edges, typical of mid 50's Martins. It is in excellent original condition save for a replacement bridge and new bridge plate. It's had a neck reset and refret in the past so it plays great and the saddle has plenty of room for adjustment. Comes with the original hardshell case complete with photos from the original owner! Overall this is a great deal on one of the most desirable 1950's Martins.
