This is a beautiful first year example of a Kalamazoo KG-11. Kalamazoo was Gibson's budget brand during the Great Depression and the KG-11 was the first guitar model introduced in the new lineup. These earliest examples are, in my opinion, the best ones that they made. They featured solid linings instead of kerfed linings, a small sunburst, and a comfortable soft V neck profile. Only seen on Gibsons from 1933, the narrower solid linings allow more of the top to vibrate, effectively providing a larger top. The bass response is similar to what you might expect from an OM size guitar. The ladder bracing combined with the ultra light build gives you a tone that stands apart from any X braced Gibson. It is an ideal guitar for fingerpicking blues. 

This one is in great shape overall. There are no cracks on the top or back, only one minor repaired crack on the treble side where the guitar sits on your lap. It's had a neck reset before we got it in the shop. The playability is excellent up the neck and there is room at the saddle for adjustment. Frets are in great shape with no visible wear. It's very rare to find an early KG-11 in this kind of condition. It comes with a modern hard shell case.
