Introduced in 1956, these little Duo Sonics were the two pickup version of the Musicmaster. They used the same bodies except an extra bridge pickup was added. The coolest part, in our opinion, is that the middle position is hum cancelling! A very useful feature that wasn't used in other Fender models for some reason. It's got all the pickup combinations you need and nothing you don't. The extra short 22.5" scale gives the strings a nice slinky feeling, making wide chords and bends a breeze. The scale length was increased to 24" in 1964 and loses a bit of what makes it special. Another very sought after feature is the thick slab Brazilian rosewood fretboard. Later Fenders (after 1962) come with a thinner veneer fretboard. This one is very well preserved in original condition and even includes the often missing bridge cover and original hard shell case. It is in practically unplayed condition, with no wear to the finish or frets. This is as clean of a Duo Sonic as you can find.
