Fraulini Guitars, made by Todd Cambio in Madison Wisconsin, are some of our favorite modern instruments. Todd is a one man shop and his creations faithfully captures the essence of the guitars made by the Italian-American luthiers of the teens and 20s in New York/New Jersey. This Angelina is a 26.5" long scale 12 string, similar to what was played by blues artists such as Lead Belly. They were made to be tuned down to C or B, giving it a deep rumbling tone not found in your typical 12 string.

It features highly flamed Maple back and sides with a Spruce top. The maple gives the instrument a clear, balanced quality which works very well with the low tuning. The neck is a comfortable full soft V profile, measuring 0.90" at the first fret and tapering up to 1.00" at the 7th fret. Todd's guitars give you all the tone of the vintage Stellas with clean craftsmanship and modern upgrades for easy playability. The fingerboard and bridge are jet black ebony; the original Stellas were often made from inexpensive cuts of maple that were dyed black. The stiffer ebony contributes to the stability of the neck while a truss rod allows for adjustment of the relief. It is also fitted with a LR Baggs Lyric pickup and a strap button on the heel so it is ready to be gigged. It comes complete with the original custom made hard shell case. Fraulini guitars have become some of the most sought after and collectable modern instruments.
