The SG Supreme is one of those guitars that I’ve coveted since seeing them in Musicians friend and Guitar Center catalogs back in the early 2000’s. My tastes have evolved since then, but there’s still something about the instruments from that period that left an impression on me- The over the top flamed maple, the shiny gold hardware, the bright lavaburst. It’s loud, there’s nothing understated about it, but it’s unabashedly early 2000’s. Aesthetics aside, it’s a great playing and classic sounding SG. At the time, it was Gibson’s top of the line model. It features a pair of ’57 Classic Humbuckers, ebony fingerboard with split diamond inlays, and a wide/slim mahogany neck. The frets are in great shape, the set up is comfortable and low up the neck. The only cosmetic issue is the finish chipping on the front of the headstock. It comes with the original Gibson hard shell case, all ready for your next pop punk gig!
