This is a perfect stratocaster for players looking for vintage vibe and tone with modern playability. Carson Hess makes some of the finest fender reproductions and this is one he assembled himself from vintage and custom parts. The body, neck plate, bridge, jack, and strap buttons are from 1956, it has the original finish and patina. There is some routing under the pickguard and a small area of touchup on the top below the bridge. It is the desirable hardtail variation so the sustain and tuning stability are excellent. The pickups are Ron Ellis '57's and are some of the best vintage reproduction strat pickups available today. The neck was custom made by Carson Hess with a beautiful piece of quartersawn maple and slab rosewood fingerboard. Carson also aged all the plastic parts to match the rest of the instrument. Overall this is one of the coolest vintage player strats around at a fraction of the price of an original.
