1933-epiphone-olympic-archtop-acoustic-guitar-2
1933 Epiphone Olympic Archtop Acoustic Guitar

These early Epiphone Olympics keep finding their way to the shop! This is one is all original and in great playing shape. It's had a neck reset and refret so it plays great up the neck. The original bridge has never been taken down which is extremely rare. There is plenty of play wear all over but surprisingly it only has one repaired crack on the top. The previous owner "Jim" bejeweled the headstock with rhinestones. We love to see old personalizations like this so we decided to keep it. It has all the same specifications as David Rawling's Olympic including the small 13 3/8" body, segmented f holes, and rounded fingerboard end. The tone is perfect for single note leads- dry and punchy with plenty of midrange cut. 1933/34 are the best years for Epiphone in my opinion. They were still made in the original Long Island City, Queens factory just before they moved production to 14th street in Manhattan in 1935. Overall this is a great, original example of an early Olympic.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0629/7845/7772/files/5271-1_9e8d48ae-d8a2-45ec-92a3-14231fb6ee03.jpg?v=1793737367
